Overview


A Quick Legislative Overview for Cemetery Custodians and Volunteer Board Members of Religious and Not-For-Profit Cemeteries. The purpose of this course is to provide awareness and resources for new and existing cemetery managers and members of Volunteer Boards and other entities across the province who are tasked with overseeing the operation of small cemeteries.

Topics will be presented that will provide a high-level overview of the requirements of operating a cemetery in the province of Ontario.

We have also partnered with the BAO to make this education available to many cemetery operators across the province free of charge. Please contact the BAO to see if you qualify to receive this education at no cost. The cost to non-members is $50.00.

All material is delivered online through the Internet. Paper copies of the course material are available through the BAO.

This online legislative overview is self paced and available to all OACFP members. All material is available online via the OACFP website. The overview consists of fifteen (15) topics important to all who are involved in the operation of a cemetery in the Province of Ontario.

This course is expected to require 4-6 hours to complete, based on each individual’s pace.
